KVLT - MOOER PE100 - Eurorack - total conversion - built and tested

KVLT is a 28hp total conversion of a Mooer PE100 guitar fx processor to eurorack compatibility.

It serves as an excellent pre amp for gouitars into a eurorack rig as well as a good fx processor and distortion unit. It works equally as well with other modules as it does with a guitar. It has a 1/4 inch input for plugging a guitar into as well as a 3.5mm in for eurorack gear. Both can be routed simultaneously for mashing up modules and guitar at the same time. The output is stereo and output via two 3.5mm euro level outputs.

Based on my own experience of solutions for guitar in eurorack this has to date been by for the best i've tried. The fx processor can dial up some phenomenal distortions and the multi fx is deep enough to generate anything from nice reverbs and echoes to full on self escillating feedback and shatter zone hellscapes.

As someone who's into a quite ecleclectic mix of music, a fair bit of which resides in the metal/industrial arena, i can vouch for one of these being totally awesome for things like old school nin type work through to experimental black metal toned shred etc. A total killer for guitar work, but also for distortion and mutilation of vocals (think axis of perdition). . .

Only the build guide for the kit is available at the moment to serve as an audio demo, but if you skim through the sections, each is accompanied by a different tune using the kvlt in different ways to serve as an example of what it can do.
