Shard is a 14HP, 26mm deep noise, drone and artefact generator.
Current draw: V+ 20MA

It can be considered a 'shard lite'. Smaller, with a simplified interface, but no less capable of generating a massive pallette of power electronics orientated material.. Drone, data crash glitching, harsh noise, atmospheric deprivation and all manner of unpleasant or quirky sounds. CV control is available to all fragment and shard generators along with the atrophy threshold.

It works well in a coupling with shard. Where wreckage is fed into the audio input of shard the two modules interact and unlock new violent textures and behaviours. Superb in a live power electronics rig.

Paired up with fx modules in the chain it can generate some impressive textures. A resonant filter and clouds in line generate some fantastic dark power electronics and atmospheres. If you're familiar with navicon torture technologies or theologian then you'll have a good idea of what to expect there. It's also great for creating incidentals and obscure sounds that you might use as samples or as a layer in film score and game sound track work that would otherwise require a much larger HP investment in conventional osc/modulation.
